Art has a special power to convey ideas. By carefully melding intellectual concepts with powerful visual statements, ideas become multi-sensory experiences infused with emotion. This symphony of visual, intellectual and emotional content creates a powerful synergy that allows us to grasp ideas and see them in a new light. My artwork has three focal areas united by this common philosophy.

I call my main body of work "archetypal" art. Each piece in this group is archetypal in the sense that it deals with a significant principal or idea that is expressed as a singular and distinctive visual statement.

My second body of work I call "didactic" art. Each piece in this group uses the special power of visual art to address social and ethical issues.

The third body of work counterbalances the serious nature of the didactic works with a lighter look at household objects we often take for granted.

These areas of artistic focus also share a bold and adventurous use of materials. Traditional mediums of acrylic and photography are used in non-traditional ways. Non-traditional materials such as sand, wire mesh, appliances and computer parts are also blended into the visual mix. My aim is to fuse these disparate materials into a unified, transcendent whole, much as the individual notes of a symphony are blended into transcendent harmonies and melodies.

I hope you are moved by these works. I hope they spark the ferment of new feelings and ideas. It is their main purpose in life.
