Robin Rowlands

The diverse nature of my work to date reflects the progress of my experimentation with digital art as a medium -- if one is willing to call it such. I love the immediacy and freedom of computer art, and am constantly delighted at how an initial idea and first "brush strokes" can evolve into something entirely unrelated. God bless the "undo" button!

There are innumerable "instant art" generators available, to create skies, landscapes and many other things -- these have their place, but I personally get much more satisfaction out of creating my own skies and so forth. I restrict my use of filters to colour and image manipulation. These functions can almost invariably be duplicated with a digital art program's native features; filters merely offer a speedy bypass and immediacy for experimentation.
